Monday chess schedule
We meet weekly at The Casual Pint of Sevierville, 705 Winfield Dunn Parkway, Unit 2. Come early for relaxed play, then stay for the ranked rounds and the nightly winner.
Current club format
Casual first. Competition later.
No tournament experience is required. Casual play and check-in run until 5:30 PM; ranked play begins at 5:30 PM.
Round 1
Two counted 10-minute games. Each game is allowed up to 20 minutes elapsed. Initial pairings are organized by player skill level, then adjusted as results come in.
Round 2
Two more counted 10-minute games. Higher scorers are paired toward higher scorers, with repeat opponents avoided when possible.
Winner of the Night
Final results are posted, the top player is announced, and the nightly prize is awarded.
There is a short reset between casual play and Round 1, and between ranked rounds. Pairings and rankings may be displayed on the venue TV.
